Hello Parents!

Congratulations to both JV and Varsity Medalists this past Saturday.   Our JV Team competed at the Orange County JV Championships, and Andrew Webb and Jordan Pizzica both took runner-up medals for 2nd place!  Way to go JV guys!!

Varsity wrestled at Laguna Hills High School and we had 4 medalists there.  Derek Burdette was runner-up at 2nd place 130 lbs; Dustin Burdette at 125 lbs and Ryan House at 160 lbs each took 3rd place and Dustin Higley took 4th place at 135 lbs.  All four seniors had a great showing this weekend, congratulations!  The team stayed in the top 10 once again, finishing in 7th place out of 25 teams, even though HBHS was missing 4 starting wrestlers out of their line-up!  

Both JV and Varsity have an away dual this Thursday at 5:30pm at Woodbridge High School.  Coaches will let the kids know what time to be at the school on Thursday afternoon to take the bus down to Woodbridge together.  This is our 4th out of 5 Seaview League duals, and we are still in the running for one of the top two teams, and advancement to the CIF dual championships - so parents, please come out to Woodbridge and cheer on the Oilers!

This Saturday there is no JV Tournament, and Varsity will compete in their last regular season event at MontClaire High School, The Bob Beloit Classic.  This is a one-day, Saturday event but is a 32-man bracket and is a long day, so be prepared.

Great job this past weekend everyone, and we will see you all Thursday at Woodbridge!!
