Coach Shiflett comes form a successful rebuilding of Mission Viejo High.     Where in 4 years won 2 league titles and 43 CIF qualifiers, 9 CIF placers,      and 2 state qualifiers and 1 state medalists. Coach Shiflett comes from a      midwest powerhouse wrestling school in Mount Carmel of Chicago. Where he won 3    state titles and went on to Michigan State. There he was freshman of the year in 1985 and Big Ten runner up. He was a 3 time NCAA qualifier. He wrestled     various international tournaments for his home country of Belarus in Greco Roman wrestling.

Coach Ryan Hetrick is currently attending UCI for his teaching credential in English and is undergoing his student teaching at HBHS. He is an ACE       Certified Personal Trainer with experience in marketing and education for a  health and fitness based company over the last 3 1/2 years for Fitness       Anywhere Inc. In addition to his health and fitness background he worked          with children of all ages as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Namibia from 2003          to 2005. Coach Hetrick double majored at UCLA in English and Political      science, (2002 graduate). During his times an undergrad he assisted coached  the    wrestling team under then head coach, Austin Cathey. Coach Hetrick was an    Oiler Wrestler until he graduated in 1998.

This is Luke's 2 nd year coaching following a distinguished career on the       HBHS Wrestling Team. Luke coaches the Junior Varsity squad and assists        with the Varsity. Coach Patrick is currently attending Hope International and         is studying Youth Ministry. Coach Patrick resides in Huntington Beach.
