    Hello Parents & Wrestlers,

Now that school is going to start, it is time to plan for the season. Please look at the "2010 Schedule" .

 For the kids that are not sure or who have not yet been able to add wrestling to their 5th period schedule, on the FIRST day of school they need to get in contact with their guidance counselor and also make assistant coach Frank Le aware of the situation.  Coach Frank will be in the wrestling room on the first day of school at lunch so that the kids that have a different 5th period will be able to get in contact with him and change their schedule.

IT IS NOT TOO LATE TO SIGN UP FOR WRESTLING CAMP!! 

We understand that some of you are going on vacation or are currently in other sports.  The wrestling camp this year will be running for 6 weeks, and you are welcome to join in late.

The wrestling camp will be held on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 4:00 to 6:00 at the HBHS wrestling room and will run for 6 weeks.  The attached flier has all the information you need to sign up.

 ALL NEW AND RETURNING WRESTLERS ARE STRONGLY ENCOURAGED TO ATTEND THE WRESTLING CAMP.   PLEASE FORWARD THIS E-MAIL AND FLIER TO ANYONE YOU KNOW THAT MAY BE INTERESTED IN WRESTLING NEXT YEAR - ALL ARE WELCOME!

          Huntington Beach 4th of July parade and

 fundraiser 

 Please join the Wrestling  team for a fun filled day at the parade and while we are at it…. We can raise some funds too.

 The wrestling team will have a booth in front of the High School and we will be selling hot dogs, bratwurst, drinks and ice cream.

There are some items that we are asking to borrow and some items for donation. 

Borrow: -        Large ice chests -        Ice chests with wheels -        propane bbq!!! -        pop-up canopies -        tables -        small generator (there will be no electrical outlets)

 Donations: - napkins - donuts (10 dozen) - hot dog buns (as many as possible!) - hot dogs (as many as possible!) - single serving bags of chips - ketchup, mustard, relish - ice cream (push-ups, ice-cream sandwiches & drumsticks) - water - soda - ice

***We will also need wrestlers and parent’s to help out at the booth from 7:00 am to 3:00 pm.  Any amount of time is needed and will be beneficial, stay as long as you want!***

It is easiest to park in the Albertson’s/OSH parking lot.  You may need to get there early and park by OSH.

***Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated***

We are planning our next Wrestling fundraiser and thought there would be no better place than at the annual Huntington Beach 4th of July Parade to have some fun and raise some money for the team.

Wrestlers, this is your time to show your HBHS Wrestler pride to the tens of thousands of people who attend the parade.  We need you to be there. 

Parents, we need volunteers and already have permission to set up in front of the school and plan to block off an area in the grass center median for family and friends that want to hang out and enjoy the parade.  Stay and help out for a couple hours, bring some chairs and enjoy the the parade, and have plenty of time to rest for your evening festivities.  Or just meander downtown later to enjoy the fireworks that evening. 

We are having a Booster / Parent meeting at the Bouma's house to plan the event this Wednesday June 17th at 7:00pm and everyone is welcome to attend.   If you can't join us Wednesday, but can volunteer to be there on the 4th, please respond to my e-mail.   

PLEASE REMEMBER THAT ALL FUNDRAISING MONEY GOES DIRECTLY TO THE TEAM FUND TO HELP OFFSET OUR TEAM FEES.  These fundraisers benefit the wrestling team and your pocketbook.

We are also looking for the following donations and suggestions from those of you who have held similar fundraisers for other sports. Donations Needed - we want to keep it to simple items:  Coffee & Donuts (for the morning), Bratwurst / sausages, Hot Dogs, Pizza, Water, Drinks, Ice Cream Sandwiches, Drum Sticks, and the like, BBQ Grill (with wheels), Possibility of an "Opportunity Drawing" Donation
